Art, Truffle Hunt and Wine Tasting
Duration: 5h / 8h
Do you want to immerse yourself in a forest in search of one of the wonders of the Italian culinary tradition, the Truffle? Know and taste the best red wines in the world, such as Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino or Barolo, Nebbiolo and Barbaresco? And finally, strolling through the alleys of the enchanting villages that dot the Val D’Orcia or the Langhe?
Our tour is designed for your autumn weekends in Tuscany or Piedmont, as a cure for melancholy and exaltation of the “dolce vita”.
We can organize for you a day dedicated to the knowledge of Tuscan and Piedmontese food and wine traditions:
do you know all the secrets of truffles? Their characteristics, properties, differences, conservation systems, methods of use? We propose a truffle hunt as protagonists, and at the end of the experience, the possibility of having lunch with a truffle-based menu while tasting the excellent wines of the area.
For those still strong, it will be possible, after lunch, to organize a historical-artistic tour of some of the main villages of the Val d’Orcia in Tuscany (San Quirico, Pienza, Montalcino, San Giovanni d’Asso – famous for the International Fair del Tartufo bianco) and visit the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, an ancient abbey inhabited over the centuries by Benedictine monks and founded, according to legend, by the emperor Charlemagne. For those who choose a weekend in the Langhe in Piedmont, the experience will continue in the villages of Alba, Barolo, Barbaresco and Neive and with an unmissable visit to the Castle of Grinzane.
Price for a private guided tour starting from 500 € including VAT. for groups of up to 2 people, including a truffle hunting session accompanied by the hunter and his dogs, truffle-based lunch and tasting of local wines. Possibility of organizing a transfer to and from the hotel to be quoted separately. Historical-artistic visit of the main Tuscan or Piedmontese villages to be quoted separately.
